ABOUT

Sarah Angel graduated in 2014 with a BFA in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, with a specialization in knitwear. Her senior collection earned her the coveted “critic’s award” presented by the head knitwear designer at 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Born and raised in Oslo, Norway, Angel moved to New York in 2010 to attend F.I.T.  During her junior year, she participated in the International Fashion Design Program and studied in Italy at Politecnico di Milano. 

While completing her year in Milan, Angel chose knitwear as her field of in-depth study.  However, her interest in fashion design is equally divided between knitwear and sportswear, thus resulting in a desire to fuse the two fields and work in nontraditional ways.  Angel finds inspiration everywhere, though her work is predominantly driven by the desire to create a visual expression of the intangible, such as music and emotions.

Sarah Angel's designs are intended for anyone to wear, and are made without ever utilizing leather or fur.
